More notebooks.
Posted by Picasa
I have been making holiday notebooks the past couple weeks and this year although many use the same elements, none are the same. I realized this makes it easier to give a group of friends. I don't have to come up with so many different combinations, I just use the same paper and change the embellishment. Enjoy

Here is my take on PTI's blog hop, although with family it town I didn't make the post in time. I paired On Ice skates on top of a large present, all decorating the cover of a holiday notebook. Enjoy.

Make it Monday #36

I chose to use the tree image and sentiment from PTI Through the Trees set. I like the softer look you get when you run over the inked image with the water pen and create a little blending. Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Boy #2

Thought I would share a card I made for my great-nephew who is turning 2. The silhouette was cut with my Cricut using A Childs Year cartridge. The mat stack, happy birthday sentiments and #2 all from PTI. Background paper is from my stash so not sure who gets credit for that, although it made my card turn out great. Just love the boy holding the candle. Thanks for visiting.

September Blog Hop

This is my take on this months blog hop. Love to use the half n half dies to add style and ground the patterns plus allowing a great canvas for sentiments. Enjoy.

Flower Fusion

I followed Melissa Bickford's technique of die cutting several flowers in assorted colors, stamping the coresponding flower designs, stamping the stems in various positions and assembling the cards. It helps that I had this gorgeous background paper to show off the main images.  Thanks for visiting my blog.

Make it Monday #31

For this project I used PTI Friendship Jar Fall Filler web and spider to create my background, along with a couple spritzs of some self mixed glimmer mist. I don't remember what color ink I used other than it has some gold perfect pearl powder in it that you can see better in the second photo. The main image uses the stem and pumpkin combination stamped on a die cut spiral notebook page, colored with copic markers and a little glitter gel pen on the top of the pumpkins. Enjoy.

Masculine Cards

Here is a nice little trio of masculine cards. All of the background papers are from a package in the dollar bins at Target. I just mixed and matched, added a kraft or white strip, a cupcake and a sentiment. Enjoy.

Father's Day 2011

I decided to get my act together and make my Father's Day cards since I will be gone the week prior and will need to get them in the mail.

The border of words is a stamp by Great Impressions stamped in SU Going Gray on gray cs, then edged with a Fiskars border punch. Die cut just the ticket border out of kraft cs, stamped borders in Terra Cotta Tile, sentiment stamped in black from Fillable Frames #4, stars from Everyday Classics (this was a past anniversary set) . The background paper is from Cloud 9 Design and the brads are from the dollar bin at Michaels.

Cicadas

Anyone in the midwest tired of all the cicadas .
This is a picture of my lily of the valley with literally every leaf being home to a cicada.
Today they have moved on a bit as the noise is not quite so intense.

Make it Monday #17

This is my first time playing along with a Make it Monday challenge.  The challenge was to use the technique of thick embossing called cracked glass.  I used Friendship Jar Spring Fillers for the focus image colored with copic markers. Three coats of embossing enamel then a berry sorbet button and a couple of punched paper circles decorate the center of the flowers. The background paper is from K&Company all mounted on a kraft cardstock base.  Hope you enjoy.

Here is a close up of how my cracked glass technique turned out.  So simple and great affect.  I will be using this in future projects.

Papertrey May Blog Hop

Papertrey May Blog Hop

I follow the monthly challenges and love checking out all the amazing creations, but this is my first time playing along and posting with a blog hop.  I chose to use PTI's In Bloom stamp set to create a background with an accent of a white embossed flower. All paper, ink and stamps PTI. I also used a border punch and small pieces of ribbon from my stash.

Blogging!

Well I have been playing around with my new blog and added my first link so hopefully all works like it is supposed to.  If anyone has any tips to make my blog more exciting let me know, I'm open to suggestions.  How does everyone else upload their pictures?  I am taking mine directly from Picasa but would like to know how to use the "photo" link instead....seems like it would be easier.  Anyway, slowly but surely my blog will come alive.

Notebooks

Since I'm such a big fan of Mish Mash I decided to make some of my own notebooks.  I had so much fun mixing and matching colors and embellishments.  I give one to all my family, friends and co-workers around the holidays.
